Photography has been a passion since my first "real" camera at age sixteen. I specialize in Weddings and Portraits because I enjoy people. It doesn't matter the situation, type of photoshoot or subject matter. I aim to bring out the true beauty and natural characteristics in anything I am photographing. As a mother of two I also understand kids limitations and how to photograph even the crankiest of the bunch with big smiles.
My education began at College of Creative Studies, School of Art & Design, also known as CCS, a private art college based in Detroit, Michigan for a BFA, luckily on a portfolio scholarship. I continue my education in workshops as it is important to stay fresh, educated and up to date on the latest and greatest gear, techniques and newborn safety. I am professionally trained as a Newborn Photographer, and how to handle them correctly.
I have worked in several Metro Detroit hospitals as a photographer. Knowing correct handling, poses and what the baby needs during the session is crucial for their safety and happiness.
