The Lyceum of Galveston Island is a special award winning wedding/reception venue that is perfect for your special day. Our stunning wedding site is located in beautiful historic downtown Galveston! We offer great flexibility with both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The Lyceum is capable of accommodating 300 people seated theater style and banquet seating for 200.
Your rental fee includes chairs and tables provided for your event. Also, it includes staff to set up and break down. However, we do not provide chairs or tables for outdoor usage. However, we will assist you in securing everything you may need from our local vendors. We do not provide the following: Linens, Decorations, Sweetheart Table, Podium, Pulpit, Cocktail Tables, Bar.

Now a popular Galveston wedding chapel, the Lyceum has a long history of service on the Island and has survived numerous hurricanes (including the Great 1900 Storm - the worst natural disaster ever to strike the coastline of the United States) and has served the people as a social meeting place, a public school, and a church for over a century and a half.

From the mainland, take I-45 South over the Galveston Causeway and continue on Broadway Avenue until you get to 24th Street.
Turn left onto 24th Street and then drive a few blocks and you will see The Lyceum on your left on the corner of 24th St. and Winnie Street of Galveston.
