My name is Erik Hill, an Idaho wedding photographer living in Burley, ID. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest of Washington State, but both my parents grew up in Pocatello, ID. So I've got Idaho roots. You can learn more about me here. I love street tacos (but who doesn't, right?), cooking and making a mess in the kitchen, Diet Mt. Dew, Nike tennis shoes, Ray-Ban glasses, throwing a ball around the backyard with my kids, and living in Rural Idaho.
If you are getting married in Idaho or any surrounding states, I would love to work with you. Send me a message for any inquiries. You might be here because you are recently engaged (Congrats by the way!) and you're on the hunt for an Idaho Wedding Photographer. You've probably picked your date and maybe even your venue. Now it's time to lock down your vendors.
If you've never visited my site before, take a look at my portfolio. All of the images featured there are from real weddings. I don't hire models or plan styled shoots. I prefer authentic, salt of the earth, real people like you.

Services
I used to be pretty addicted to thrift store shopping.
Like really addicted.
My main obsessions at thrift stores were 10 speed bicycles, wool sweaters, leather soled dress shoes, and vintage electronics.
It got so bad that I even would buy shoes that were slightly too small for me if I thought they were cool enough, then I would even try to wear them.
Even when they made my feet ache.
One day I was browsing through the curio cabinet at the Silverdale, WA Goodwill when a beautiful Canon AE-1 Program caught my eye.

It's hard for me to say that these images are my best.
I'm much more comfortable saying that these images in my portfolio are some of my favorites.
What makes a photograph "good" is so subjective anyways.
So while I might pick my favorites from your wedding day, the ones that make you happiest might be the ones I least expect.
That's one of the lovely things about wedding photography, is how the images make you feel, and that's what I care about most.
If you like what you see and you want me to photograph your wedding, we should chat.

Your wedding photography is an investment, and should probably commandeer a decent percentage of your budget.
Your children and posterity will treasure the pictures of you and your new spouse in all your newly-wed glory.
Think of your wedding photography as a "Time Capsule".
You can look at the images, and be transported back to the happiest day of your life.
You can remember that funny moment when the ring bearer didn't quite make it down the aisle, or when Aunt Linda had one too many drinks and boogied down on the dance floor.

If it isn't obvious by now, I want to work with you.
I LOVE meeting new people.
After 5 minutes I'm sure we will be friends.
I am partial to hot chocolate and diet soft drinks, or anything that encourages conversation.
Let's get together and talk about your wedding.
Send me a message and let's make it happen.
