I'm Skye, Vermonter at heart, but have called New York my home for 17 years. I would rather be outside than in, would rather be around tall mountains than tall buildings, and started my love for photography taking pictures of anything and everything found in nature. When I moved to New York City I began seeing the beauty and uniqueness in people, architecture, and everyday things that sometimes go unnoticed.
12 years ago I started photographing weddings and I still get all the feels. Every single time. While I love the obvious beauty, emotions, and details of the wedding day, I'm also looking for that discreet touch, that subtle smile, that passing glance, and that spontaneous laugh. Skye's confidence in what she does takes a lot of stress off of the day.
She seemed to understand what we imagined so well and produced photos that were more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. It felt like we were hanging out with an old friend, which really helped us to relax and enjoy. She captured some beautiful moments and I'm so grateful to have those memories.
