The Coconut Palm Inn is not your typical Inn, we strive to create a “Family Beach house” vibe for our guests.
Our Inn is nestled on a quiet lagoon overlooking the Florida Bay with 19 lavishly appointed guest rooms and suites dotted along the 450 feet of private and secluded beachfront.
Our accommodations have been newly renovated and offer casual barefoot elegance, each with their own outdoor space, offering enchanting unobstructed views of our award-winning gardens or of the beach and Florida Bay.
The Coconut Palm Inn is located in the town of Tavernier.
Tavernier is uniquely situated at the southern tip of Key Largo often referred to as “The Diving Capital of the World” and the northern tip of Islamorada often called “The Sport Fishing Capital of the World.”.
Our hotel was originally built shortly after WWII in 1947 by Herbert Alley, an engineer, builder and noted conservationist.
Mr. Alley, still very sensitive to the devastating effects of the 1935 hurricane, built his new hotel to withstand the strongest of storms.

This small inn is located right on the bay.
It has the feel of a lush tropical resort, with lots of spaces to relax in Adirondack chairs, hammocks and tiki huts.
My 12-year-old son loved the paddleboards and we had fun using the paddleboat.
The heated pool was refreshing at night and it was great to be able to relax in a deck chair with complimentary wine.
We all loved making s'mores around the fire at night.
Our room, #15 was spacious and comfortable with a gorgeous second story view of the bay.
