Our history begins in the 1820's with Dr. Malcom Nicholson, a prominent physician and planter who was active in the early development of the north central region of Florida.
He was on the original committee that chose Tallahassee as Florida's state capitol in 1824.
He built his seven-bedroom farmhouse - among the oldest houses in Gadsden County - sometime around 1828, using lumber from pine trees on his own property.
Hand -formed bricks were stacked inside it's wood-frame walls for added insulation.

The Shady Rest Building offers a max capacity of 175 and Nicholson House has a maximum capacity of 75 guests.
We want to ensure you don't feel rushed on your special day at Havana Springs, so your wedding rental period will be 8am-11pm, regardless of the day of the week!
We understand and appreciate that animals are extensions of our families, so we are happy to welcome your pet to the property.
We just ask that clients let us know in advance what animals will be on the property, and that clients ensure animals are kept on a leash and remain outdoors (with the exception of service animals).

All suites have a comfortable queen size bed, and some have a futon for 2 with luxury linens and pillows.

We accommodate the varied preferences and expectations of guests by offering both conventional front-desk check-in processes and mobile check-in options.
