The Zissios family journey began in the scenic mountains of Greece when co-owner Yianni (John) Zissios started making wine with his grandfather at the age of 9. What started as tradition turned into a passion.

Blue Valley produces wine varietals best suited to the climate and soil of the Virginia vineyard.
These include Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chambourcin, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Muscat Ottonel.
All the grapes are crushed and fermented on-site in our 10,000 square feet production facility.
Blue Valley's facility is among the largest in Virginia.
Our winemaking style is a cross between traditional and well-established, old-world winemaking methods and new-world wine-making innovation.
