The Dress was created from our belief that every bride should be able to find the gown of her dreams without having to sacrifice style and elegance because of budget. It all began when I was shopping for my own wedding gown. I started by looking online but was hesitant to buy a gown without being able to first try it on and actually see it up-close.
So, I visited some bridal salons and found what I thought was "the one", and ordered it that day. When the gown finally arrived, and I tried it on, I realized I had changed my mind. Bridal stores usually have an "All Sales Final" policy, so I was a little stuck. I quickly found out that the local women's consignment stores did not accept wedding gowns.
I had limited options for selling the gown. I also needed to shop for another gown and was hoping to be able to find a "deal". I thought, "There needs to be a bridal store that is more like a year-round sample sale store, giving brides the opportunity to purchase their gown off-the-rack at a discount, or to be able to consign their wedding gown and recoup some of their investment".

The Dress provides you with the opportunity to pass on your special dress to another bride while also being able to recoup some of the expense of your own special day.
We set up a 6-month term in which we work our magic and do our best to sell the gown for you.
When it sells, you receive half of the sale price.
If, after 6 months it does not sell, you would pick up your gown.
We do not buy dresses upfront.
We DO accept sample gowns from bridal salons.
