My name is Roddy Chung and I'm a wedding and portrait photographer based in Seattle, WA. My style is often described as timeless, creative, documentary with some fine art and dramatic twist. I picked up my first DSLR during my freshman year in college. I took this class called "Fundamentals of Photography." Being a resourceful son, I shamelessly asked my dad for a camera and convinced him that "it was required for a class."
To tell you the truth, I didn't learn much about the basics of photography from that class. If I took anything away from that class, it was that I knew my camera and I would become inseparable. The early stages of my photography journey started out self-taught. When I first started, I never played around with any other settings on the camera except for the manual mode.
I was so mesmerized by the amount of control it allowed. So from then, I started honing my skill by taking photos at school events and doing headshots for friends. Little did I know then that those experiences would plant the seed for my own wedding photography business!
