Our second floor Grand Ballroom hosts ceremonies and receptions for up to 250 while our first floor rooms provide flexible space for many uses. Over the years we have developed a list of trusted catering partners to help ensure that your special day runs smoothly. Parking, hotels, many houses of worship, and Lake Michigan are within a few blocks of our Clubhouse in downtown Evanston.

Designed at the turn of the last century by noted architect Ernest Mayo and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, The Woman's Club of Evanston is the "grand dame" of the city.
To date, this same building serves as the meeting place and headquarters to the still active membership organization!
The Clubhouse's interior, updated in 2021, exudes warmth and timeless elegance.
Its classic architecture includes a black and white marble entrance hall and double staircase leading to the dramatic arched ceiling of the Grand Ballroom- a perfect place for dinner and dancing!
Founded in 1889, The Woman's Club of Evanston (WCE) has had a proud history of supporting organizations that make a difference in our community.
Connecting women behind a shared purpose of volunteerism, social empowerment and community support.
The WCE is dedicated to community service, philanthropic work and friendship and boasts more than 350 members from the North Shore, Chicago and surrounding communities.
Last year, our Club contributed more than $300,000 and 5,000 volunteer hours to local non-profit organizations.

On the recently renovated first floor, the lovely Tea Room with sparkling chandeliers flows into the Music Room with one of our grand pianos.
The Sun Porch can be used as a wedding suite or additional seating during cocktail hour, providing multiple settings for your friends and family to enjoy throughout the day.
Our historic Clubhouse is the perfect venue to impress your friends, family, colleagues, and guests with sophisticated elegance and gracious hospitality!
On the second floor the dramatic two-story Ballroom accommodates up to 250 guests for a sit-down dinner without a dance floor and 200 guests with a dance floor.
The Ballroom has beautiful original hardwood floors for dancing and an adjacent enclosed Sun Porch for cocktail service, as well as a stage that is perfect for a band or DJ.
The first floor Tea Room is the perfect area to welcome your guests with a cocktail hour, luncheon, or presentation.
Event dates are held for two weeks until the Clubhouse Usage Agreement is signed and the deposit is received.
At the time the contract is signed, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the usage fee is due.
All events must end at 11:30 pm, with last song played no later than 11:00 pm per City of Evanston noise ordinance.
Overtime charges will be assessed if guests remain on the premises past the contracted end of event time.
The Grand Ballroom retains its beautiful, original hardwood flooring.
Absolutely no type of floor can be placed on top of the ballroom hardwood floor and no tape of any kind may be adhered to the floor.
