I've always had a passion for photography - since I was a little girl.
But it wasn't until 2002 when I purchased a 35mm Canon SLR camera and began learning about film photography and darkroom techniques that my journey really began.
As a professional Houston-based photographer, I started shooting portraits, weddings and events in 2009.
I am a proud alumni of the University of Houston, with a degree in print journalism and have worked as a freelance reporter for the Houston Chronicle and later managed digital content, including doing photography, for the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

When I first picked up an SLR camera in 2003, I was fortunate enough to have the guidance of a mentor who taught me how to actually USE the camera for the purpose it was made for - to create art.
