We don't believe in containing the biggest event of your life into just a few hours and rushing you out to get more brides/grooms in. We offer a "reunion-style" wedding, as you will have an all-access pass to the grounds and rental of all guest rooms Friday to Sunday. We are on the coveted National Historic Register and many prominent people throughout history have shared this home.
Now you can be one of them, too. We have tried to retain as many of the original features of this 1875 General Store-turned-home, although all furnishings and textiles are modern and luxe. We are Amira and Yuri Melnichenko and we have been painstakingly renovating this beautiful, but severely neglected home for 57 years.
Not really, it's been around two years, but it just feels like we've aged that much in the process.
We got married in the mountains of North Carolina in 2014 and ever since then it's been one of our dreams to own a wedding venue/B&B.
We can't imagine a better way to live life than surrounded by happy people on the most monumental day of their lives!

Our Bridal Suite is named in honor of Thompson's General store, the original structure built here in 1875.
The upstairs as it remains today fills the main guest area of the suite, although the bathroom and sunroom were later additions.
