I wanted to thank you for the beautiful ceremony that you officiated at our wedding.
We have received many compliments from family and friends who have said that it was one of the most touching ceremonies they had ever attended.
Harvey and I feel very blessed to have found you!
Dan, Thank you so much for the wonderful job you did with our ceremony!
Everything went perfectly and we appreciated the special touches you added to the ceremony.
Pauline and I want to thank you for uniting us in Holy Matrimony.
A marriage license is issued by the Circuit Court Clerk of any city or county in the State of Virginia.
Out-of-state-residents may apply at any Clerk's Office throughout the State of Virginia.
The Spotsylvania Court House located in Spotsylvania, Va, just one exit south of Fredericksburg, Va, is the only Northern Virginia Court House that holds Saturday office hours for those whose schedule makes it impossible to get to a court house during the week.
The Marriage License Bureau is open the first and third Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Readings are not required, but a distinctive and well-read presentation can enhance the quality of your wedding ceremony.
The following suggested readings offer you a mixture of religious (Sacred Scripture) and secular readings.
You may use other readings of your choice.
The only word of caution is that you choose adults who read clearly and loudly enough so that your family and guests can hear them comfortably.
The first four readings are four different translations of the same letter from St. Paul.
Whoever fails to love does not know God, because God is love.
This is the revelation of God's love for us, that God sent his only Son into the world that we might have life through him.
My dear friends, if God loved us so much, we too should love one another.
God remains in us and his love comes to its perfection in us.
This is the proof that we remain in him and he in us.
Blessed are you when people abuse you and persecute you and speak all kinds of calumny against you falsely on my account.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.
Before beginning the rehearsal you want to determine how the bride and groom and the entire wedding party will stand for the ceremony.
There are options.
You may consider having music (live, taped, CD, or whatever) beginning at any part of the ceremony described below.
You may consider a piece of music for the beginning and a special piece for the bride's entrance.
The maid of honor should be very aware of helping the bride with her dress, train, and bouquet as she approaches the minister, especially if there are stairs.
