Memories By PJ
When words cannot do justice, photography seeks to fill in the gaps. Containing the humanity of the moment, photography can become more real than reality itself. My name is PJ Schlobohm and I have been a Richmond, Virginia-based wedding and portrait photographer for a decade. Photography, for me, is an exciting and ever-changing medium. It is exhilarating as it puts me in the environment to learn something new every single day and offers me a way to capture life's greatest moments and share them with others.

I believe one of the first steps to choosing a photographer is to understand a little bit about them. That being said, here's a little about me! I am a kidney transplant recipient from a live donor. I feel lucky, every single day, to be given this special gift! Since that day I promised to live life to the fullest and help others live the same way through the documentation of their most special memories.

I have been married since 2007 and I have two children, a boy and girl. I believe in love and that love doesn't discriminate.
Services
I believe in capturing the special and sentimental moments.
I work to look not only for the moments, but for the emotions and I take the photographs that communicate both.
I have spent the past decade as Richmond, Virginia's premier wedding photographer perfecting just that skill.
I also believe in taking meaningful, honest portraits.
Your engagement and wedding portraits will be more than standing with smiles plastered on!
I believe in capturing the real you, the real "us" between the two of you, and the real moments throughout.
Family is everything.
Each family is unique, a construction of culture, love, and passion.
Because your family is unique, I work hard to capture that in your portraits.
I have spent the past decade as Richmond, Virginia's premier family portrait photographer perfecting just that skill.
Family life is messy and unpredictable, but it is fun and rewarding.
My pictures reflect that aspect of family.
In that spirit, I do not like "stand-there-and-smile" pictures.
I look for the genuine moments, the moments that will make you think back to the portrait session and wonder what had you laughing hysterically, or glaring at your partner or kids!
Liven up your wedding or next event with a Photobooth!
My photobooth is an open air photobooth and can comfortably fit up to 8 people.
I set up a mini studio complete with backdrop, lights, and a camera on a tripod.
Your guests will have a remote and have full control of the photobooth.
Once a picture is taken the picture will show up on the backdrop for all the guests to see.
I also supply props, paper, and pens for you and your guests to enjoy.
Clear Umbrella - Hopefully it won't rain, but in case it does a clear umbrella is a fantastic prop to use during pictures.
Fabric Tape - Great to repair small rips and tears, or to fix things that aren't fitting quite right.
Hand Sanitizer - I suggest skipping the receiving line, but if you still want to have one it would be a good idea to keep one of these nearby after all that hand shaking.
Corsage Pins - It's always a good idea to keep extra of these on hand since they tend to bend and break easily.
Coordinate - Try to coordinate outfits without looking overly "matchy."
Avoid wearing same colors and instead, find a color palette you love and piece together items from that palette that are complimentary to one another.
Accessorize - Add accessories to pump up an un-inspring ensemble.
A hat, scarf, and boho necklace can give a lackluster outfit the right amount of punch and provide great pops of color.
Bright hues in small doses are great.
Props - Bring toys or other fun items that your kids love.
