Here at Katie Woodring Photography we believe great photography doesn't have to be reserved for life's milestones. Some of the best images come from otherwise ordinary days. But those days go by quickly. Capture them! Because they are only young once. A painter first, Katie credits her background in fine art as the secret to her success. She was halfway through her BA program when her advisor asked her to take his photography class.
As soon as her images took to life in the darkroom she knew photography would be her calling. She went on to become the photo editor of her college newspaper where she polished her technique of not only capturing beautiful images, but the deeper story behind them. After graduation Katie moved to Louisville and worked under several talented photographers before creating her company in 2004.
She quickly became an award winning professional specializing in wedding, children and senior photography. In 2008 she moved to Northern Kentucky to be closer to family. The proximity to Cincinnati allowed for more variety of her weddings and the urban setting meant unlimited potential for family sessions.
