I started shooting when I was about 14. After obtaining my Masters in Art Ed in Georgia, I had a 7 year fling as a mountain guide and ultimately settled on the Pacific Northwest after becoming a father. I started shooting a lot more again when my beautiful son was lighting up my life. People said I had a knack for capturing genuine happines in a person's portrait.

I crave taking cool photos. I want to shoot all day when I have the chance, so I became a wedding photographer. I love to be in the middle of a tear jerking moment, and ultimately, I feel honored and blessed to be able to tell someone's story. Living on a boat in the San Juan Islands put me right in the middle of the action for destination weddings.

But, I REALLY like those calls for ceremonies in far off exotic places. My style is extremely laid back, and all I ask of my clients is for them to be themselves. I prefer to work alone and with natural light. It lends itself to a fly-on-the-wall unobtrusive style that is never distracting or intimidating for clients.

I prefer to be there for the whole day, in a very laid back kind of 'fly on the wall' documentary approach.
I'm a storyteller, and there's a lot of sweet moments well before and after the ceremony that I want to capture, (good teary emotional stuff.)
I am happy to be there for as long as you will let me, because I expect your whole day will be awesome.
Recommended time: 8-10 hours.
I am happy to turn over print rights for life and every commission will include both high and low res digital images that have been cropped and color corrected to work with your colors and themes.
Well, without giving too much away, lets just say that two soulmates found each other through Instagram in the 2014.
Both families quickly agreed that they should all live together.
They skipped the house thing and all moved straight onto a boat and set sail on the Salish Sea.
Neither of them had grown up sailing and never could have imagined they would be raising three kids on a 50' sailboat.
The kids have just finished another year of Lopez Island School and we are ready to explore new coastlines.
