The Barn at Heritage House is a lovingly restored, timber pegged, open beamed barn originally built in 1853 by our ancestor, Samuel McLary. Your wedding can be as casual, elegant, or shabby chic as you care to make it. The barn is a blank slate, with only white twinkle lights on the beams. We are the 4th generation of our family to own the property on which the house and barn sit.
We believe that family is one of the most important things in life and are glad that we can share our heritage with yours. We had a great experience at the Heritage House. The owners were amazing and very helpful! The barn was absolutely beautiful! Our wedding turned out perfect and having the access to the house really helped out on our big day! Cathy was very helpful and answered any questions we had.
The barn was very clean and it was easy to find things. All of our guests loved the venue. It's great to have a barn, carriage house, and house for a whole weekend for one price. We really loved the freedom to do what we wanted to make our wedding and reception perfect.

Brown County has a noise ordinance in effect that requires all electronic sound amplification devices (aka speakers) to be turned off by 10 pm, so your reception would have to end by that time.
The main floor of The Barn is approximately 38' x 64' with a ramp at the north end leading to a concrete walkway running behind the main floor.
