Kahu Jaudon Koakanupalekaluhikahikio'ewa (Koko) Kaneali'i was born on O'ahu and moved to Kaua'i in 1979. Descended from Ali'i he integrates the protocol passed down through his family line into his non-denominational ceremony. He is also a professional musician, entertainer, artist, and educator. In 2009 he had the opportunity to appear with his band KanakAttack in the George Clooney movie The Descendants that was filmed at Tahiti Nui in Hanalei.
Julie Kaneali'i was born in Oregon and moved with her family to Maui in 1975 where she attended and graduated from Lahainaluna High School. On Kaua'i since 1983 she has been very active in the community, working, and paddling canoe.
