Left Coast DJ is the evolution of DJ Alxndr to work directly with clients that might not make it out to clubs. I have been DJing for more than fifteen years! I started in college, spending countless hours refining my skills mixing the music I loved - hip hop. Then I inherited my aunt's record collection - she was a DJ in the 80s in New York City and I discovered new sounds I loved - funk, disco, electro.
When I got to the Bay Area several years later I discovered electronic music - first breakbeats and house, then later dubstep and trap. And, of course, I've always had my eyes on the charts - everything from Justin Timberlake to Beyonc. Over the years I've spun at just about every kind of event and venue - from underground raves to high profile corporate gigs.
I've learned what keeps people on the dancefloor. Because I learned how to DJ the "old-school" way - on vinyl records and turntables - I know how to blend music and create a seamless experience on the dancefloor. I also know how to mix the styles up and create a true journey - coherent yet varied.
