The traditional wedding ceremony is the most common ceremony.
It is non-denominational and is good for interfaith weddings.
It makes a few references to God but is mostly about your love and relationship to each other.
When God created man he saw that it was not good for him to live alone.
So, he prepared a helpmate and companion to live with man and share his life.
He took not the woman from man's head, lest she should rule over him.
Nor from his feet, lest he should trample upon her.
But from his side that she should be his equal, and from close to his heart that he should love, cherish, and honor her.
Love is the essence of life.
We have come here this evening to acknowledge the decisions of these two people, Groom and Bride, to share their love in the relationship of marriage.
Therefore.
We are gathered together here in the presence of these witnesses to join together this man and this woman in joyous matrimony, which is an honorable estate instituted by love.
It is therefore not to be entered into unadvisedly, but reverently, with great care and deep commitment.
Into this happy estate these two persons come now to be joined.
We have come together here in celebration of the joining together of Groom and Bride.
There are many things to say about marriage.
Much wisdom concerning the joining together of two souls, has come our way through all paths of belief, and from many cultures.
With each union, more knowledge is gained and more wisdom gathered.
Though we are unable to give all this knowledge to these two, who stand before us, we can hope to leave with them the knowledge of love and its strengths and the anticipation of the wisdom that comes with time.
Love and relationships are what life is about.
